Rachida Saadi’s film, Quitte ou Double, has won the grand prize at the Guevara International Film Festival in Cuba, H24 reported on Monday.
Featuring actress Farah El Fassi, the film tells the gripping story of a young woman who embarks on dangerous adventures that put her life and those around her at risk.
The film explores the issue of addiction in society, examining its impact on individuals on multiple levels and highlighting the psychological, social, and economic consequences of the pervasive problem.
The festival honored “Quitte ou Double” before its scheduled release in Moroccan theaters at the end of 2024.
The Guevara International Film Festival, founded by Cuban filmmaker Humberto Solás, is celebrating its 18th year and is the second-largest film festival in Cuba.
