A Moroccan delegation representing King Mohammed VI and led by Habib El Malki, President of the Higher Council for Education, Training, and Scientific Research, attended the inaugural ceremony of Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Sunday in Kigali.
Kagame was re-elected for a four-year term in Rwanda’s presidential election in July, winning in the first round with a landslide of more than 98% of the vote.
King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Kagame, applauding Kagame for the renewed trust placed in him to lead the Rwandan people toward further progress and prosperity.
The king reaffirmed his strong commitment to working closely with Rwanda’s President to strengthen relations between the two countries, characterized by mutual respect and fraternity.
He also highlighted the importance of fostering fruitful Moroccan-Rwandan cooperation for the benefit of both nations and enhancing solidarity and integration across the African continent, and wished him continued success in his duties.
Morocco’s Ambassador to Rwanda Youssef Imani as well as several heads of state, members of various countries’ diplomatic corps, and other distinguished guests attended the ceremony.
