The Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Association for the Promotion of Moroccan-Korean Cooperation (AMACO) held a donation ceremony on Friday, in Casablanca, to support women victims of violence and vulnerability in the city.
The donations included equipment and supplies for a training room dedicated specifically to these women and managed by the Women Awareness Renewal Organization (ORCF) based in Casablanca.
This initiative constitutes a social incubator project intended to enhance the educational, awareness, and economic prospects of women facing challenging conditions.
Hyewon Cho, the representative of KOICA in Morocco, highlighted the robust relationship between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Korea and underscored the importance of this socially-oriented initiative as part of the constructive cooperation between the two countries.
The initiative, according to Cho, seeks to improve the scientific and cultural levels of women, promote their rights, and equip them with the tools and structures necessary for effective partnerships and communication with relevant organizations and institutions.
AMACO’s President Mohamed Moussa stated that the initiative is designed to advance women’s rights and enhance their abilities in social, economic, and cultural aspects, as well as boost self-confidence and resilience in the face of challenges.
AMACO, established in 2004, facilitates bilateral collaboration in scientific and cultural domains between Morocco and South Korea.
KOICA is a long-standing organization, active since 1992. Its focus is on international cooperation, with a particular commitment to developing human resources and implementing development projects, including training programs and scholarships for Moroccan officials and students.
