Moroccan former African wrestling champion Amal Imani Reklaoui is serving as a main referee at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Reklaoui is among 50 official referees chosen for the games, including eleven women.
Appointed by the International Wrestling Federation (UWW), Reklaoui is officiating the wrestling events at the Olympics.
She told the media that “she has been performing her duties with professionalism and adhering to the rules since the start of the competitions.”
Reklaoui was the African wrestling champion in 1998, earned medals in 2000 and 2001, and is an International Referee Level I. She also holds a Professional Certificate of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (BPJPS).
