Tourist arrivals at Morocco’s border posts totaled 7.44 million in the first half of 2024, up 14% from the same time the previous year, according to the Tourism Observatory.
All of the biggest source markets, including the United Kingdom (+34%), Germany (+28%), Italy (+21%), France (+17%), and Spain (+6%), performed well in comparison to the first half of 2023, as per the Observatory’s June data report.
The Kingdom’s five largest airports, Agadir Al Massira, Marrakech Menara, Tangier Ibn Battouta, Fes Saiss, and Mohammed V, received 32%, 26%, 14%, 6%, and 5% of total tourist arrivals, respectively.
Tourist arrivals at border posts totaled over 1.5 million in June, up 10% from June 2023.
The Observatory reported that the airports of Agadir Al Massira, Marrakech Menara, Tangier Ibn Battouta, Fes Saiss, and Mohammed V received 37%, 31%, 18%, 8%, and 1% of total tourist arrivals, respectively.
The primary markets that contributed to this performance this month were the United Kingdom (+48%), France (+17%), and Spain (+1%).
