Morocco sold a total of 7.46 million tons of cement as of the end of July 2024, marking a 6.84% year-on-year increase, according to the Cement Trade Association (ACP).
In the month of July alone, Morocco sold 1.18 million tons of cement, a massive 52.26% increase from the 780,954 tons recorded in July 2023, according to data from the APC.
Looking at the data by segment, delivery volumes for distribution were around 4.33 million tons as of the end of July.
The total volume of ready-mix concrete (BPE) deliveries reached 1.63 million tons, while pre-cast concrete (PREFA) reached 723,317 tons.
The supply for general construction totaled 239,775 tons, infrastructure projects accounted for 498,707 tons, and mortar supply amounted to 37,355 tons.
Members of the trade association include Asment Temara, Ciments de l’Atlas, Ciments du Maroc, LafargeHolcim Maroc, and Novacim.
