Morocco’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), announced the resumption of its direct flight route between Casablanca and Beijing, China, starting January 20, 2025, with three weekly departures.
Initially launched in January 2020, the service was suspended just a few months later due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The flights will depart Casablanca on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 3:15 p.m. local time, arriving in Beijing at 10:50 a.m. the following morning aboard a Boeing 787-9 with 302 seats, including 26 in Business Class.
The return flights will proceed on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 12:50 p.m. local time, landing in Casablanca at 8:15 p.m. local time.
“We are delighted to resume the first direct route between Morocco and China. The Casablanca-Beijing line is mainly aimed at boosting Moroccan tourism, with 80% of the passengers expected to be international tourists,” Hamid Addou, CEO of RAM said.
He added that “this service will help to strengthen the economic and commercial relations between Morocco and China.”
