Morocco is expected to see significant weather changes in August, due to increased atmospheric instability, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
The DGM predicts that this instability will predominantly affect Morocco’s southern regions, central areas, and the Atlas Mountains, and extend into the southeastern parts of the country.
The weather changes are mainly driven by the influx of substantial tropical moisture, carried by trade winds essential for transporting this moisture. This influx is likely to result in increased rainfall and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoons and evenings.
From mid-August onwards, the severity of these weather conditions is expected to intensify, with stronger thunderstorms and heavier rainfall anticipated.
