Morocco’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), will launch a new direct flight route connecting Casablanca to Toronto, Canada starting on December 8, 2024.
The Casablanca-Toronto route will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flights will depart from Casablanca at 4:45 p.m.(local time), arriving in Toronto at 7:25 p.m. Return flights will leave Toronto at 9:30 p.m., landing in Casablanca at 10:50 a.m. the next day. Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft will provide the service.
This will be RAM’s second direct route to Canada, offering direct flights from Casablanca to Montreal, New York, Washington, Miami, and Sao Paulo (Brazil), with the Sao Paulo route resuming on December 7.
“The new Casablanca-Toronto route is primarily a response to strong demand from Moroccans residing in Canada, particularly in Ontario,” RAM’s CEO Abdelhamid Addou said. “The route will enhance the company’s extensive service, which has included the historical Casablanca-Montreal route since 1975, now operating twice daily. This addition will provide even more convenience and comfort for our citizens living in Canada.”
Addou noted that this new route aligns with the airline’s development plan signed with the government in July 2023, which seeks to bolster economic ties between the two countries and promote Morocco as a tourist destination.
