A Morocco-Paraguay parliamentary friendship committee has been officially created at the Paraguayan National Congress.
President of the Paraguayan Congress Basilio Núñez presented the list of committee members on Friday to the Moroccan Ambassador to Paraguay, Badreddine Abdelmoumni.
Senator Noelia Cabrera will chair the newly formed Morocco-Paraguay parliamentary friendship committee, which includes eight members.

Basilio Núñez extended his congratulations to Morocco’s King Mohammed VI on the 25th Throne Day anniversary.
Núñez highlighted the crucial role of parliamentarians in strengthening bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest.
Abdelmoumni updated Basilio Núñez on recent developments regarding the Sahara issue, notably the letter from French President Emmanuel Macron to the monarch, in which Macron officially acknowledged that he “considers the present and future of Western Sahara lie within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty.”
Núñez expressed his awareness of the sensitivity of this issue for Morocco and committed to ensuring that his country will always back Morocco and its legitimate rights.
He also expressed his desire to visit Morocco with Noelia Cabrera to further enhance bilateral relations.
The parliamentary friendship committee also includes senators Hermelindo Alvarenga de Ortega, Juan Carlos Luis Galaverna Ortega, Derlis Hernan Maidana Zarza, Norma Beatriz Aquino Luraghi, Dionisio Oswaldo Amarilla Guirland, and Antonio Carlos Barrios Fernandez.
