Moroccan athlete Anass Essayi on Friday qualified for the men’s 1500m semi-finals at the Paris Olympics.
The Moroccan champion crossed the finish line fourth during the first series with a time of 3:36.44. British athlete Josh Kerr came first, clocking 3:35.83, ahead of Kenyan Brian Komen (3:36.31) and Norwegian Narve Gilie Nordas (3:36.41).
The semi-final will take place on Sunday August 4.
Later today, Moroccan Assia Raziki will participate in the women’s 800m series at 6:45 (GMT +1)
