Fernando Grande-Marlaska, Spain’s Minister of the Interior, praised King Mohammed VI’s dedication to the Kingdom’s development and advancement since his accession to the throne 25 years ago.
“The celebration of the 25th anniversary of The King’s enthronement is a precious opportunity to congratulate the Sovereign on his commitment to the development and progress of Morocco” the Spanish Minister told MAP during a reception hosted in Madrid on Tuesday evening by Morocco’s ambassador to Spain Karima Benyaich, on Throne Day.
“This emblematic event celebrates not only the anniversary of the enthronement of the King but also the advances made by the Kingdom of Morocco under his enlightened leadership”, he added.
The Spanish minister expressed his sincere congratulations to the King and the Moroccan people, stating that Morocco is an “important partner” with whom Spain has fraternal and good neighboring relations.
“In Spain, the Moroccan community, boasting over a million people, is a success story in terms of integration, collaboration, and cooperation, playing an essential role in the development of our country and the strengthening of relations between our two nations”, Grande-Marlaska added.
The Spanish official praised recent advances in promoting Spain-Morocco ties, stating that this “dynamic should serve as a driving force for the future of both countries”.
