Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), welcomed Morocco’s “tremendous” economic and social progress under King Mohammed VI’s leadership.
In a message celebrating Throne Day, Georgieva highlighted that Morocco’s economy has evolved into a modern, highly competitive, and rapidly growing force, delivering significant improvements in the living standards of its citizens.
“I was thrilled to witness Morocco’s remarkable blend of rich history and rapid development during the 2023 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Marrakech,” Georgieva said. “The warm hospitality of the Moroccan people and the opportunity to express my deep respect and gratitude to the King in person were truly memorable.”
Georgieva expressed her appreciation for the strong partnership with Morocco and extended her best wishes for the continued happiness and prosperity of the King and the Moroccan people.
