A British tourist died after consuming a dairy product at a hotel in the Sidi Ibrahim Oasis area, on the outskirts of Marrakech, according to a report from local media.
She was transferred to a private clinic due to complications arising from severe nausea from which she later died.
Sources suggest she died as a result of anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction that can obstruct breathing.
Milk allergies are known to cause this condition, ranking third among common food allergic reactions, after peanuts and tree nuts.
