U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken commended King Mohammed VI’s regional leadership and lauded the “remarkable progress” in the partnership between the United States and Morocco in a press release commemorating the 25th anniversary of Throne Day.
“The Kingdom of Morocco is one of our oldest and closest friends, and I deeply appreciate the close cooperation that the United States enjoys with our Moroccan partners,” Blinken said.
He recognized the resilience of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, stating, “The past twenty-five years have been a period of remarkable progress in our relations, and our partnership is stronger and more prosperous than ever. “
The official expressed gratitude to the monarch for “his leadership in the region and steadfast support,” particularly in addressing “some of the most pressing issues of our time.”
He concluded by extending best wishes to the King and the people of Morocco for “a wonderful celebration and much prosperity in the years to come.”
