Idriss Alouani from the Ismailia Club of Meknes and Salma Hariri from the Safi Cycling Champions Association secured victory at the 2024 Throne Cup, in the senior category for road cycling, held on Sunday in Souk Sebt Oulad Nemma, in the Fkih Ben Salah Province, central Morocco.
In the men’s category, Alouani took the leading position, ahead of Adnan Arbia of Kawkab in Marrakech and Mouhcine Rhaili of Qatar’s Al-Adham Club.
In the women’s division, Hariri claimed the top spot, with Yasmine Najmi of Union Sportive de Ouezzane taking second place.
The course covered 3.7 kilometers over a closed circuit and featured around 200 cyclists from over 40 sports clubs across Morocco.
The race, held in conjunction with Throne Day celebrations, was hosted by the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation and the Beni Mellal-Khenifra Regional League.
It was also supported by the local associations “Jeunesse Souk Sebt” and “Amal Souk Sebt.”
The trophies were presented by the Governor of Fkih Ben Salah Province after the event.
