The Moroccan Cinematographic Center’s (CCM) commission that supports film festivals and cinematographic events in Morocco approved 25.97 million MAD in grants to fund 41 film festivals and cinematographic projects at its second session of the year, held in Rabat on July 23-25, according to CCM.
The commission examined 44 applications and approved 41 for funding. The Marrakech International Film Festival received the largest grant of 12 million MAD.
Other significant grants include 7.5 million MAD for the National Film Festival of Tangier; 1 million MAD for Salé’s International Women’s Film Festival; 800,000 MAD for Rabat’s International Author Film Festival; and 450,000 MAD for Oujda’s International Festival of Maghreb Cinema.
