A flight of Air Canada from Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport to Montreal Canada was canceled on Friday morning due to an altercation between a flight attendant and a passenger.
Taken on board, videos widely circulated on social media show the crew member acting rude and unprofessional toward a passenger who asked for a blanket and had already apologized for running out of plaids.
“Are you going to behave or are we going to get off? Behave yourselves!” the passenger yelled in front of the other passengers who in turn asked the stewardess to call the captain, which she refused to do.
It all started when one of the passengers asked the stewardess for a blanket, because the air conditioning had excessively lowered the temperature on board.
An argument then broke out between the two women, prompting the crew member to “call the police to get the passenger back”.
In support of the stewardess, all other passengers also left the plane, forcing the airline to cancel the flight.
Reacting to the footage, several Internet users called on the airline to take “action” with regard to the stewardess, in addition to “taking the necessary steps to train flight attendants to behave humanely and respectfully towards customers”.
