The support of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for the Palestinian cause, is “constant and unwavering,” Mahmoud Al Habbash, Advisor to the Palestinian President, told MAP in a statement a few days before King’s 25th Throne Day anniversary.
Al Habbash stated that strengthening “brotherly” Morocco-Palestinian relations, which are deeply rooted in history, and the Palestinian cause have always been priorities of Morocco’s foreign policy under King Mohammed VI.
The Palestinian official highlighted the importance of the Al-Quds Committee, an outgrowth of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and lauded the Kingdom’s “exceptional and valuable” efforts in support of the Palestinian cause.
Al Habbash said “we appreciate” Morocco’s consistent support for the Palestinian cause in international forums, and welcomed ongoing communication between King Mohammed VI, and the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, to coordinate positions and strengthen cooperation in various fields in the service of the Palestinian people.
Morocco has always supported the Palestinian cause, defending it via diplomatic connections, he remarked and added that Al Quds residents “value the Bayt Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency’s programs and support” in areas such as housing, health, and education.
