Italian ferry company Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) has opened its second Moroccan headquarters in Nador this week.
The ceremony was attended by several institutional representatives and local authorities, among them was Mohamed Kabbaj, General Manager of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and GNV’s partner responsible for the Morocco region.
“Following extensive renovation and refurbishment of a strategically located historic building at the port entrance, GNV has officially opened its second office in Morocco to the public, after the one in Tangier. The new facility enables the company to welcome its passengers and clients in a more spacious, modern, and functional environment,” GNV said, as reported by the Italian media outlet Shipping Italy.
Morocco is GNV’s largest international market, with over 450,000 passengers who boarded their ships through the Tangier terminal in 2023. The carrier aims to increase this number this year. “A significant number of our travelers reside in the Oriental region and its surroundings. Previously, they had to travel to Tangier to depart. The substantial volume of these passengers led us, in direct consultation with them, to launch this line in Nador and provide ships, reception areas, and a local agency that meets the highest global standards in the sector,” Mohamed Kabbaj said to local media.
