The Executive Board of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) convened on Thursday and decisively voted to terminate the membership of Said Naciri and Mohamed Boudrika from their positions on the board due to their repeated absence from meetings, FRMF reported in a press release.
The decision is under Article 27 of the FRMF’s statutes, which mandates the removal of board members who fail to attend meetings on multiple occasions.
The federation emphasized that the terminations are intended to uphold governance standards and ensure active participation among board members.
During the meeting, the board appointed vice presidents to oversee the cases of another three suspended members: Rachid El Battah, Jamal Senoussi, and Ismail Jamai, who are currently involved in legal proceedings.
The decision stems from a series of legal developments, including the ongoing judicial proceedings involving Said Naciri, former president of Wydad Athletic Club, in the Sahara Escobar case. The case is widely known for its connection to drug trafficking, money laundering, and other charges.
Mohamed Boudrika, former president of Raja Athletic Club, is currently under investigation in Germany, following an extended absence from Morocco, where he is sued, for a period exceeding six months.
