Morocco plans to double the size of its aeronautical workforce by 2030, according to a statement by Industry and Trade Minister Ryad Mezzour, on Tuesday at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA), held in the southwest of London.
Mezzour told Morocco’s News Agency (MAP) that “Morocco has established itself as a major player in the aeronautics sector, which has already demonstrated its full capabilities in manufacturing.”
The Kingdom, according to Mezzour, is leveraging its human capital and competitive advantages in logistics, industry, and technology to pursue a market expansion strategy, aligning with the royal vision.
“FIA was an opportunity to highlight Morocco’s ambition, which is now shared and even supported by national and international players,” he added.
“From an industrial standpoint, our objective is to double the number of available jobs, thereby offering enhanced opportunities to our young talents, who are progressively well-trained and well-equipped,” the official said.
The minister expressed confidence in Morocco’s industrial growth, noting strong support from national and international stakeholders. Existing companies are set to expand their operations, while new entrants are keen to leverage Morocco’s competitive advantages within global supply chains.
The Moroccan official announced the upcoming sixth Marrakech Air Show scheduled for October 30 and invited global industry leaders and partners to participate.
The airshow, which runs until Friday, is a key platform for leading global aerospace companies to explore new partnerships and drive the future of aviation worldwide.
