Côte d’Ivoire’s Foreign Minister Kacou Houadja Léon Adom reiterated, on Wednesday in Rabat, his country’s steadfast support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory.
Following his talks with Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, Adom affirmed Côte d’Ivoire’s full backing of Morocco’s Autonomy Plan as the “sole credible and realistic solution” for the Sahara issue.
He also commended the UN efforts as an exclusive framework for achieving a practical and lasting resolution to the regional dispute.
Bourita thanked the Ivorian officials for their “unwavering support” and acknowledged Côte d’Ivoire’s decision to open a Consulate General in Laâyoune on February 18, 2020.
