Morocco is participating in the Farnborough International Airshow 2024, which runs from July 22-26, 2024, in Farnborough, southeast of London, United Kingdom.
Initiated by the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), the country’s presence aims to spotlight burgeoning opportunities, investment potential, and aerospace sourcing capabilities in Morocco.
With a massive 180 m² national pavilion, meetings and business gatherings will be held with representatives from international institutions and global players in the aerospace industry in order to strengthen partnerships and relations with key industry stakeholders.
Led by AMDIE Director General Ali Seddiki, a Moroccan delegation consisting of the National Defense Administration (ADN); Morocco’s financial arm (CDG); national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM); MEDZ Group; Tangier Med Special Agency (TMSA); and the Institute of Aerospace Trades (IMA) is attending the event.
The delegation also includes Moroccan companies operating in the aerospace area to showcase their experience, notably Bi Engineering, Dona, GLPF, NTS, OB Electronique, TDM Aerospace, Structural Aerospace Morocco, LEANCAM, and Trigo.
Positioned as an industrial hub, Morocco offers a world-class aerospace platform with a dynamic ecosystem. More than 142 companies operate in the aerospace and space industries in Morocco, employing 20,000 people and generating export revenues of two billion dollars.
The sector boasts an impressive 40% integration rate and an exceptional average annual growth rate of 17%, significantly outpacing global benchmarks.
Morocco’s participation at the Farnborough International Airshow this year is a collaborative effort with the Moroccan Aerospace Industries Group (GIMAS), backed by Morocco’s Ministry of Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation, along with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
