The ongoing heatwave in Morocco is expected to last until Wednesday in several regions, with temperatures ranging between 42 and 46 °C, according to an amber alert weather bulletin issued by Morocco’s Meteorological Agency (DGM).
Higher temperatures between 42 and 46 °C are forecast in the southern regions of the Kingdom, specifically in Tata, Zagora, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, and Errachidia provinces.
The extreme heat is expected to affect the provinces of Taounate, Ouezzane, Taroudant, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Khémisset, Khouribga, Settat, Fès, Sefrou, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Moulay Yacoub, Rehamna, Youssoufia, Fquih Ben Saleh, Meknès, and Khénifra.
