The Olympic flame stopped at the Moroccan stand in the “Africa Station” fan zone on Monday as part of its journey in the lead-up to the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on July 26.
The fan zone is conveniently situated near the Olympic Village on Île-Saint-Denis, within the Paris region.
The organizers of “Morocco House,” along with enthusiastic fans and Mohamed Gnabaly, Mayor of Île-Saint-Denis, received the flame.
Morocco House was officially unveiled last Saturday at the Africa Pavilion, which showcases African culture and sports. The stand features a traditional Moroccan tent embellished with the country’s national colors offering a selection of Moroccan handicrafts, local products, and culinary treats.
The Africa fan zone at the Olympic Games will remain open to the public until August 11. Visitors can view live broadcasts of Olympic events and participate in varied activities, including concerts, performances, exhibitions, and athlete meet-and-greet sessions.
On August 1, the site will host a showcase of Moroccan music and culture with performances by numerous distinguished artists from the Kingdom.
