Following a meeting of the Raja Casablanca Football Club board of directors on Friday, the club announced the appointment of Adil Hala as its new president, until the next general assembly.
Hala, who previously served as the club’s first vice president, will take over the role previously held by Mohammed Boudrika.
The board’s decision follows the arrest of Boudrika on Tuesday in Germany, as confirmed by multiple media reports.
The club’s statement did not directly address Boudrika’s arrest, but instead focused on the leadership transition. “According to Article 23 of the club’s statutes, the presidency is temporarily filled by the first vice-president or, in their absence, the second vice-president, until a new board is elected at the next general assembly,” the club statement read.
