Moroccan pilgrims who will perform Hajj in the 2025 season will pay MAD 65,000 MAD, according to the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
This amount is based on the recommendations of Morocco’s Royal Commission for Pilgrimage (Hajj) which convened on Thursday in Rabat, the same source said in a press release, adding however that “the final cost of Hajj has the potential to fluctuate either up or down.”
During the meeting, the Royal Commission developed strategies for the 2025 and 2026 Hajj seasons.
The payment period for pilgrims organized by the ministry and authorized agencies will be from September 2 to 20, 2024, via Barid Bank branches. Certified checks will also be accepted.
“Once the requisite payment has been made, the medical examinations will commence,” the ministry stated.
The Commission recommended the online registration for the 2026 Hajj season to open from January 13 to 24, 2025. Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age or older and must not have performed Hajj within the past ten years.
