Morocco tops countries to allocate a great bonus amount to athletes for being on Paris Olympic Games podiums and earning precious medals, along with Serbia and Malaysia, USA Today reported.
Morocco offers 75,000 dollars for bronze, 125,000 dollars for a silver medal, while the triumvirate offers over 200,000 dollars for a gold one.
Worldwide, the average bonuses amount to 95,000 dollars for a gold medal, 55,000 dollars for a silver medal, and 39,000 dollars for a bronze medal are offered by States to their representatives at the Olympics.
Meanwhile, six countries, including Italy, have designated bonuses slightly exceeding 100,000 dollars.
The United States kept the value of the bonuses awarded during the Tokyo Olympics, offering 37,500 dollars for each gold medal, 22,500 dollars for each silver medal, and 15,000 dollars for each bronze medal.
France has set a record for bonuses, offering 80,000 dollars for each gold medal, 40,000 dollars for each silver medal, and 22,000 dollars for every bronze medal.
