Morocco’s U20 women’s football squad lost to Austria on penalties (3-4) in a friendly game on Tuesday at the Sportschule Lindabrunn stadium in Austria, leading up to the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The game, which concluded in a goalless tie in regular time, was part of the preparations for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will take place from August 31 to September 21 in Colombia.
Morocco qualified for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2024 after defeating Ethiopia 2-1 on aggregate.
The national U-20 women’s team is competing in their first World Cup qualification.
The girls will play in Group C at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, along with Spain, USA, and Paraguay in the group stage, following the official draw carried out in early June in Bogotá.
