The Appellate Court of Fes sentenced a Moroccan national residing in Belgium to three years in prison on Monday afternoon, finding him guilty for disrupting a flight by fabricating the presence of a bomb.
The incident unfolded when the 50-year-old man contacted authorities at Fes Airport with a false bomb threat claim on a flight to Belgium which he was scheduled to board after a dispute with airport officials due to his late arrival.
He had been held in custody at the local Bourkaiz prison immediately following the incident.
