Three hotels in Morocco’s Red City, Marrakech, are among the 100 best hotels in the world, according to the rankings of the American magazine specializing in the tourism industry, “Travel + Leisure.”
The Moroccan hotels in the ranking are the Salman Hotel Marrakech which took the fifth spot in the world with a score of 99.39/100. The Mamounia Hotel ranked 18th in the world with a score of 98.94/100, while the Royal Mansour Marrakech secured the 55th position with 98.25 points.
The ranking is based on a comprehensive survey of the magazine’s 186,000 readers’ experiences that include their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and others.
The survey asked participants to cast their votes for their top destinations worldwide, with over 700,000 votes received across more than 8,700 cities. The results were analyzed based on the criteria of rooms/facilities, location, services, food, and value.
For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor.
The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur in India came in the top of the list, followed respectively by La Casa de la Playa in Mexico, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha in Qatar, and Park Hyatt Siem Reap in Cambodia.
In an earlier Ranking, Marrakech took the top spot as the best destination in Africa and the Middle East (MENA) for 2024, out of a list of 10 places.
