A heatwave is expected in several regions of Morocco on Saturday, including southern provinces, southeastern areas, the Eastern Province, and parts of the Mediterranean Atlas, Rif, Souss region, and the plains west of the Atlas Mountains, according to Morocco’s Meteorological Agency (DGM).
Along with the heat, moderately strong winds are expected to sweep through the eastern Atlas Mountains, affecting the central coasts and the northwest regions of the southern provinces.
In the southeastern regions and desert areas, temperatures will range between 24 and 30 degrees. In the Eastern Province, Atlas regions, eastern Rif and the Mediterranean coast, temperatures are expected to be between 18 and 24 degrees.
In other regions in the kingdom, temperatures are expected to range from 15 to 19 degrees. Daytime temperatures are forecast to decrease.
The sea is expected to be calm to slight in the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar. In North of Cape Sim, it will be slight to rough, while in the southern regions, it will range from rough to very rough.
