The 20th “Festival des Plages” (Beaches Festival) will kick off this Saturday, running until August 21 in the Moroccan coastal cities of M’diq, Tangier, Al Hoceima, Martil, Saïdia and Nador.
The event will feature over 200 national and international artists performing diverse musical genres, including Hip Hop, Rap, Fusion, Moroccan Chaabi, Oriental music, Raï, and Reggada. This year’s edition promises a varied program catering to all tastes.
Among the notable artists scheduled to perform are Balqees, Stati, Aminux, Douzi, Ikram Abdia, Najat Atabou, Saida Charaf, Said Senhaji, L’Artiste, Muslim, Mehdi, Mozzayine, Statia, Dizzy Dross, Mehdi Fadili, Tagne, Rym, Mocci, Said Mosker, Karima Gouit, and Mouss Maher, among others.
The festival remains committed to promoting social inclusion through music, offering free concerts to millions of spectators. Designed to be accessible to everyone, it aims to strengthen social bonds and foster cultural exchanges.
The 19th edition of the festival attracted a record-high attendance of 10 million festival-goers from across Morocco.
Since its inception in 2002, the Festival des Plages has been dedicated to accessibility and promoting Moroccan culture, particularly through music.
