Morocco is the third-largest fertilizer supplier to Brazil with 147 Mln dollars, an increase of 2.3 times over the same period last year, according to Russia’s outlet “Ria Novosty” report on Monday.
Russian fertilizer exports to the South American country totaled 338 Mln dollars, the highest figure since March 2023. During this period, Brazil imported 378 Mln dollars worth of Russian fertilizer.
Russian fertilizer exports to Brazil in June were based on potash fertilizer, which rose by 8% year-on-year to 160 Mln dollars.
Canada came second increasing its exports by 19% to 184 Mln dollars.
Mixed fertilizer took second place in terms of sales, up 41% to 129 Mln dollars. Nitrogen fertilizer made it to the top three with sales of 49.5 Mln dollars, up 8% year-on-year.
The top five suppliers include China with 127 Mln dollars, and Egypt 80 Mln dollars.
