Morocco’s Ministry of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family and Djibouti’s National Agency for Disabled People (ANPH) formalized a partnership agreement, on Tuesday, to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience in the promotion of the rights of people with disabilities.
The agreement is centered on the mutual exchange of training expertise for professionals and families involved in working with individuals with autism.
The deal is intended to strengthen bilateral collaboration in areas such as legislative practices, research, and studies designed to advance the rights of individuals with disabilities.
During the signing ceremony, Aawatif Hayar, Morocco’s Minister of Solidarity, Social Insertion, and Family, outlined Morocco’s accomplishments in advancing disability rights.
She highlighted the social protection system and the recently issued government decree to provide identification cards to individuals with disabilities, as well as the digitization efforts underway in this sector.
Doualeh Said Mahamoud, Director General of ANPH, stated that Djibouti is looking to benefit from Morocco’s experience in promoting rights for persons with disabilities.
“The partnership agreement will facilitate the exchange of best practices and enhance cooperation between our two countries in this crucial area,” Mahamoud said.
