Morocco ranked second out of five African countries with the best quality of life for the first half of 2024 with a score of 111.9, according to the Business Insider Africa website.
The data and research platform Numbeo found that Morocco has overcome many challenges such as inflation and debt, and provides its citizens better living conditions through effective governance, economic stability, and social services.
South Africa ranked first with the highest quality of life with a score of 147.1, Kenya came third with a score of 106.4, Egypt secured the fourth spot with 86.0, and Nigeria came fifth with 42.7.
The ranking considers factors such as the index for purchasing power, safety, healthcare, cost of living, property price to income ratio, traffic commute time, pollution, and climate.
