Five people were killed and 10 others sustained serious injuries following a road accident on Monday in the rural municipality of Zagmouzen, in Taroudant province (Southwestern Morocco), according to well informed sources.
The incident occurred when a transport vehicle overturned on a curve amidst the mountainous terrain of Zagmouzen. The crash resulted in the immediate death of five passengers. The bodies were promptly taken to the Taliouine health center before being transferred to the morgue at Mokhtar Soussi Provincial Hospital in Taroudant.
The injured victims were also transported to the same hospital for urgent medical care. The hospital had also admitted seven accident victims, including four women and three men, all reported to be in critical condition.
