Mustafa Dasoukine, the adored icon of Moroccan comedy, died Saturday evening at the age of 82 after a long struggle with sickness.
Born in Casablanca on July 14, 1942, Dasoukine made a name for himself in Moroccan entertainment over the course of four decades.
The comedian was widely regarded as one of Morocco’s best performers, noted for his dedication and his passion to work, which is worthy of emulation.
Dasoukine’s career included appearances in various successful Moroccan films and television series.
His significant works include the series “Six out of Sixty”, the sitcom “Radio Wak Wak”, the series “Si Marbouh’s Family” (2001) , as well as “Haj Azouz’s In-Law” (2009).
Dasoukine had been out of the public spotlight for several years following the tragic death of his eldest son and the death of his wife roughly six years ago.
These personal losses had a profound impact on him, prompting him to withdraw from the artistic community.
