Moroccan national police officers arrested three individuals with prior convictions in the vicinity of Temara, near the capital city Rabat, for their suspected involvement in drug possession and trafficking, according to security sources.
The suspects were caught red-handed, in possession of seven kilograms of cannabis and 5,440 psychotropic pills.
A subsequent search of one suspect’s residence uncovered an additional 1,200 psychotropic pills and seven blocks of cannabis resin.
Upon conducting identity checks, the authorities discovered that one of the suspects had already been issued a national arrest warrant in connection with a separate drug trafficking case.
The suspects are now in custody, pending an investigation by the prosecutor’s office to determine the circumstances of this case and identify those involved.
