Cement salesn, the main indicator of the construction and public works sector, reached 6.27 Mln tons in the first six months of 2024, up 1.12% from the same time the previous year, according to Cement Trade Association (ACP).
In June alone, the sales totaled 746,072 tons, compared to 1.05 Mln tons for the same month in 2023, a 29.15% decrease, the ACP said in a document published on its website.
Deliveries for distribution amounted to 3.60 Mln tons, followed by 1.40 Mln tons for ready-mixed cement, 607,359 tons for precast concrete, 202,522 tons for construction, 421,032 tons for infrastructure, and 32,971 tons for mortar.
