Morocco’s travel revenues reached 41.3 billion MAD in the first five months of 2024, a 1.6% increase compared to the same period last year and 45% compared with 2019, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity.
In May, these revenues soared to 9,4 billion MAD, representing an overall increase of 11% compared with May 2023, the Ministry pointed out in a press release.
“For the past two months, revenues have again seen growth, in line with our forecasts,” Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor explained.
The Minister underscores the necessity of ongoing collaboration with professionals and partners to develop premium tourism experiences and revenue-generating offers.
She also emphasized the importance of promoting deeper immersion in local experiences for community benefit.
