Moroccan authorities are devising an ambitious action plan to face-lift the central city of Fez, to host the 2030 World Cup finals, Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit announced on Tuesday.
“It is imperative to adopt an innovative approach in devising this action plan, covering the material, logistical and infrastructure aspects in line with FIFA’s requirements”, Laftit underlined at a meeting on Morocco’s preparations for hosting this major sports event.
The minister reiterated his department’s commitment to providing all necessary resources and support to facilitate the swift implementation of this plan, which will allow the kingdom’s spiritual capital to host some of the 2030 World Cup games.
Laftit noted that regular meetings would be organized to monitor the implementation of this action plan, calling upon all parties concerned to participate in this large-scale project.
Morocco, which will co-host the FIFA World Cup 2030 alongside Portugal and Spain, is gearing up to deliver an unprecedented feast that will captivate the imagination of billions of fans around the world.
