Morocco’s beach soccer team on Wednesday secured its spot in the finals of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations following Angola’s withdrawal.
The first leg was scheduled between July 19 and 21, while the second leg was expected to take place between the 26 and 28 of the same month.
Having won bronze medals in 2013, 2021 and 2022, Morocco was set to face Angola, which would have been participating for the first time.
The last edition took place in Vilankulo, Mozambique, between October 21 and 28, 2022, and saw Senegal clinch its 7th title.
Egypt is hosting the competition for the second time after the 2018 edition held in Charm el-Sheikh.
African Football Confederation (CAF) has not yet announced the dates for the 2024 edition, but the competition is expected to take place in November.
