Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, Head of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, discussed ways to enhance cooperation with Cheikh Niang, Chairman of the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People on Monday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
At the meeting, Cheikh Niang commended King Mohammed VI, chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for his efforts to promote the values of peace and coexistence in the region, particularly in Al-Quds Asharif.
Niang recognized the King’s role in safeguarding the legal status of the Holy City.
The meeting was held during a conference hosted by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah. Representatives from various countries were in attendance to discuss the current challenges facing the Palestinian people.
Cherkaoui commended the UN Committee’s initiatives aimed at raising global awareness about the significance of protecting Al-Quds and preserving its legal status.
He stated the importance of convening future meetings to develop a roadmap for joint actions towards achieving shared objectives.
The discussions reiterated a shared commitment to advancing the Palestinian cause, amidst ongoing regional challenges.
Both parties agreed on the importance of maintaining a collaborative and communicative approach to addressing the issues affecting Al-Quds and its inhabitants.
