The Saudi Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman announced on Monday the discovery of seven oil and gas deposits in the Kingdom’s Eastern Province and Empty Quarter, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Bin Salman stated that the state-owned oil company Saudi Aramco has discovered “two unconventional oil fields, a reservoir of light Arabian oil, two natural gas fields, and two natural gas reservoirs,” SPA wrote.
Aramco found an unconventional oil field in the Al Ladam field in the eastern province, with a flow of 5,100 barrels per day of very light Arabian oil reservoir, accompanied by 4.9 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
The second unconventional oil field is also in the eastern province with a flow of 4,557 barrels per day of very light Arabian oil reservoir and 3.79 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, along with a reservoir in the same area with a flow of 1,780 barrels per day of very light Arabian oil reservoir and 0.7 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
For natural gas, a field was discovered in the Rubaa Al Khali region with a flow of 7.6 million standard cubic feet per day, accompanied by around 40 barrels per day of condensate, and a reservoir was found nearby with a flow of 4.9 million standard cubic feet per day.
