Police at Tangier International Airport on Monday arrested a foreign national said to be in possession of cannabis resin (chira) as she was about to leave the country.
During a routine passenger screening operation, police officers noticed a traveler who seemed overly agitated.
During a thorough search of the woman’s belongings, police discovered 10 kg of cannabis resin in her luggage, according to police.
The traveler has been transferred to Judicial Police in the northern city of Tangier pending further proceedings.
