The Hungarian Film Festival, a unique cultural event emphasizing the depth of the Hungarian cinematographic experience, started on Monday in Essaouira with the screening of “Bad Poems.”
The event is part of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Morocco and Hungary.
André Azoulay, Advisor to the King and Founding President of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, Hungary’s Ambassador to Morocco Miklós Erik Tromler, diplomats, and other cultural and film luminaries attended the ceremony.
Tromler commended the “excellent relations between Morocco and Hungary,” and said that such events are important for creating deeper mutual understanding and reinforcing the two nations’ friendship and cooperative connections.
The Essaouira-Mogador Association, in association with the Hungarian Embassy in Rabat and the Hungarian National Film Institute, jointly organized the festival, which will run until July 3rd. Its goal is to enhance connections between the two nations.
