Morocco’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has been named the second-best airline in Africa, according to 2024 Skytrax rankings, making it the tenth consecutive win.
The national carrier outranked South African Airways, Kenya Airways, and Rwandair. RAM also slipped two spots to 55th place among the world’s top 100 airlines in 2024.
Ethiopian Airlines secured the top spot for the seventh consecutive year. It also clinched the award for Best Business Class in Africa for the sixth time in a row and Best Economy Class Onboard Catering in Africa.
In 2023, RAM improved its global standing, moving up 13 places in the Top 100 rankings as it maintained its Skytrax 4-Star certification since 2015.
Skytrax, an international and independent air transport rating organization based in London, United Kingdom, awards airlines based on feedback from millions of passengers worldwide.
Customers responded to questions about various aspects of their travel experience, including cabin service quality, flight experience (seat comfort, meal quality, entertainment options), and pre/post-flight experience (online booking ease, airport waiting times, baggage delivery).
On a global scale, Qatar Airways holds the title of World’s Best Airline, followed by Singapore Airlines and Emirates.
