Moroccan international football player Hakim Ziyech has completed a permanent transfer from the English club Chelsea, to Turkey’s Galatasaray, according to a press release on Friday.
Ziyech joined the Turkish club on loan last summer and has now officially made the move permanent.
The 31-year-old midfielder was acquired by Chelsea from Ajax in the summer of 2020. During his 107-appearance tenure at the Premier League club, Ziyech scored 14 goals.
He was also part of the Chelsea squad that won the UEFA Champions League in 2021, the UEFA Super Cup in 2021, and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2022.
Chelsea FC thanked Ziyech for his contributions to the club. “We thank Hakim for his efforts during his time at Chelsea and wish him well as he begins the next chapter of his career,” the club’s statement reads.
